Topic: Weird sleep stories

Chatting to some mates recently about what we were like as kids and a couple of them mentioned that when they were playing up as babies their mums used to do weird things like stick em in front of the washing machine to get them to sleep or play Dire Straits to them(!) Was/is this normal?? Any other weird and wonderful methods that people have heard of?  [/size]
